Coleman carries Potsdam
COMPLETE GAME: Sandstoners give OFA its first defeat

OGDENSBURG — Jerry Coleman struck out 13 batters in a complete-game effort to help Potsdam hand Ogdensburg Free Academy its first Northern Athletic Conference Central Division baseball loss, 4-3 on Thursday.

Coleman added an RBI double, and Chris Reece supplied one hit and one RBI for the Sandstoners (4-1).

Andy Fisher smacked a two-run triple in the sixth inning to pull Ogdensburg Free Academy within one run.

The Blue Devils weren't able to score the rest of the way and fell to 3-1.

NORWOOD-NORFOLK 18,

TUPPER LAKE 4

Pat Durant struck out four over four innings of work and also drove in three runners as the Flyers downed the Lumberjacks in a Central Division game in Norwood.

Seth Clark supplied two hits and two RBIs for Norwood-Norfolk (3-3 overall, 1-3 league).

Bob Lawyer hit a two-run triple for Tupper Lake (2-5, 1-4).

PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 6, MADRID-WADDINGTON 4

Justin Pearson allowed just four runs on four hits and struck out 12 batters as the Panthers downed the Yellow Jackets in an East Division matchup in Parishville.

Dennis Tebo contributed a single and a triple with two RBIs for Parishville-Hopkinton (3-2).

David Uppstrome fanned 10 batters, but wasn't able to get the win for Madrid-Waddington (0-6, 0-4).

Kyle Lawrence and Jeff Chudzinski provided a single each for the Yellow Jackets.

CLIFTON-FINE 20, HAMMOND 12

An eight-run sixth inning put the Eagles out of reach of the Red Devils for good in a West Division matchup at Star Lake.

Dan Donovan smacked a triple, while Casey Forkey hit a double and two singles for Clifton-Fine (2-2).

Brandon Howie laced two triples and a single, and James Stark-Ennis added another triple for Hammond (1-4).

WATERTOWN 25, GENERAL BROWN 5

Forrester Wight went 6-for-6 with six RBIs as host Watertown rolled to victory over General Brown in a Frontier League crossover game.

Will VanHouten was 5-for-6 with two RBIs, and Jordan Hicks went 4-for-6 with three RBIs for the Cyclones (7-4, 3-1), who pounded out 29 hits. Nolan Bodah knocked in four runs on two hits.

IHC 7, SOUTH JEFFERSON 0

Winning pitcher Brian Magovney generated a pair of hits, and Immaculate Heart Central (7-5, 2-2) earned the crossover victory at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds.

Jared Ladue went 2-for-3 for the Spartans (2-5, 1-4).
