Mr. & Mrs. Lambert Coffin -- 60 years
SATURDAY, MAY 3, 2008

ANTWERP — Mr. and Mrs. Lambert A. Coffin, 222 Main St., will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house from 1 to 5 p.m. May 10 at the Antwerp American Legion.

Mr. Lambert, son of the late Duane and Estey Coffin, married Geraldine M. Villeneuve, daughter of the late Paul and Ida Villeneuve, on May 1, 1948, at St. Michael's Church in Antwerp with the Rev. B.A. O'Connell officiating.

Honor attendants were Dorothy Putman, Florida, sister of the bride, and the late Anthony Booking, brother-in-law of the bride.

Mr. Coffin attended school in Utica and served in the Army Air Forces for three years during World War II, seeing duty in Italy. He owned and operated Coffin's Exxon for 21 years and was Antwerp highway superintendent for eight years. He enjoys gardening, golf and playing computer games.

Mrs. Coffin graduated from Utica Free Academy and Excelsior School of Business, Utica. She assisted her husband with Coffin's garage and was a teacher's aide for the Indian River Central School District, Philadelphia, for 10 years. She enjoys gardening, knitting and crocheting.

They have three children, Sheryl Haller, Theresa, Beverly Fullington, Brewerton, and Gina Taylor, Antwerp, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
