ADAMS — Mabel L. Parks, 70, of 80 Spring St., formerly Bayview Manor, Chaumont, died Sunday at her home.

Mrs. Parks was a homemaker.

Born Dec. 28, 1937, in Watertown, daughter of Melford and Amy Calhoun Goodfriend, she graduated from Three Mile Bay schools.

Marriages to Richard Lambert and William Parks ended in divorce.

Mrs. Parks enjoyed word puzzles.

Surviving are a daughter, Amy Hayman, Chaumont; four sisters, Myrtle Rendell and Doris Briggs, both of Adams, Betty Aubertine, Brewerton, and Helena Hacker, Florida; a brother, Glenn Goodfriend, Sackets Harbor, a granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

Two sons died before her, Dale Lambert in February 1985 and William "Mike" Parks in July 1991. Two brothers, Kenneth and Francis Goodfriend, two sisters, June Bourcy and Anna Aubertine, and a sister-in-law, Aline LaBrosse Goodfriend, also died before her.

A graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at New Cedar Grove Cemetery, Chaumont.

There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Becker-Cleveland Funeral Home, Chaumont.
