More truths, ideas grasping at straws
TUESDAY, MAY 6, 2008

I'm a Vietnam vet and lifelong conservative. The lady from Cape Vincent makes an interesting point. Premise: The windmills' parent companies do business with countries that terrorists have come from; therefore, the windmills indirectly support terrorism.

How about the U.S. airlines caused 9-11 because if they didn't have the airplanes, the terrorists couldn't have crashed them into our buildings. How about George Bush was looking for an excuse to attack Saddam Hussein because he sent assassins to kill his father when he was in Kuwait? Hmmm. How about Bush-Cheney pushed the war to support Cheney's buddies at Haliburton and Bush's oil buddies? Hmmm.

How about they haven't found Osama in over seven years because they need a bogeyman to scare us? How about Bush's war policies have ruined our economy by borrowing billions of dollars from Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates and our other friends?

Some of these premises are truth, some are grasping at straws.
