OFA rolls to track win

3-EVENT CHAMPIONS: Fredericks, Bracy lead way for Blue Devils

TUPPER LAKE — Jake Fredericks and C.J. Bracy each won three individual events to lead OFA to a 159-76 victory over Tupper Lake in a Northern Athletic Conference boys track and field meet Monday. It was the season-opener for the Lumberjacks.

Fredericks won the 200- and 400-meter dashes for OFA (2-0) and added a win in the 110 hurdles. Bracy picked up wins in the long jump, high jump and triple jump.

MADRID-WADDINGTON 124,

CANTON 112

Aaron Cote gained wins in the 400 and triple jump to lead the Yellowjackets (1-1) past Canton in Madrid.

Damien Abar won the 100, 200 and high jump for Canton (0-2), and Matt Pierce added wins in the 800 and 1,600.

GIRLS LACROSSE

CANTON 15, OFA 8

Christy Foster delivered six goals and four assists to lead the Golden Bears (6-2, 5-0) past OFA in a Northern Athletic Conference game in Canton.

Tressa Goolden added three goals and one assist for Canton. Katherine Sweeney and Tiffany Hudson each had two goals and one assist.

Molly Morrow led OFA (3-5, 3-3) with six goals.

POTSDAM 13, NORTHWOOD PREP 11

Kanika Misra registered five goals and one assist to lead the Sandstoners (3-4) past the Northwood Prep School in a nonleague game in Lake Placid.

Ginette Cornett added three goals, while Tess Curry sored twice for Potsdam.

SOUTH JEFFERSON 18,

INDIAN RIVER 9

Alyssa Scordo notched three goals for the Spartans during a Frontier League victory at Philadelphia.

Six more players contributed two goals apiece for South Jefferson (6-4, 2-3).

Kayleigh Pearson led the Warriors (2-7, 0-5) with two goals and two assists.
