ST. REGIS FALLS — Merle M. Williams, 88, Starke, Fla., formerly of St. Regis Falls, died April 24 at Shands Medical Center of Starke.

Mrs. Williams had worked in retail. Born Jan. 2, 1920, in St. Regis Falls, she was a daughter of George Clukey and Lydia Hawkins. She enjoyed golfing, shopping and crossword puzzles. She was a member of Starke Golf and Country Club.

Surviving are four daughters and three sons-in-law, Joyce Dumas, Jacksonville, Fla., Sassie and Art LeRoux, Star Lake, Laurie and Ray Allen, Starke, and Karen and Mark Ryan, Tabernacle, N.J.; a son, Jim Williams, Sandy Creek; a brother, a sister, 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Her husband of 54 years, Harvey Williams, two sons, Gerritt and David, two daughters, Jessalyn and Melodie, and two sisters and two brothers died before her.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the home of her grandson, Calvin Dumas, at 68 Robin Road, Orange Park, Fla. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. June 23 in Turin Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Archie Tanner Funeral Services, Starke, Fla., and Callaghan Funeral Home, Port Leyden.
