OGDENSBURG — The Blue Devils almost let slip a nine-goal halftime lead, but hung on to defeat Saranac Lake 15-12 in a Northern Athletic Conference girls lacrosse matchup Wednesday.
Molly Morrow scored seven times and assisted on another goal to lead Ogdensburg Free Academy (4-5). Chelsea Martin chipped in four goals and two assists for the Blue Devils.
Shannon Muldowney paced the Red Storm (1-4) with five goals and two assists. Alice Pitman made 18 saves.
CANTON 21, POTSDAM 6
Christy Foster scored four goals and assisted on three to lead the Golden Bears to an NAC win over the Sandstoners in Canton.
Katherine Sweeney also scored four times, and Elizabeth Bastien netted three goals for Canton (8-2 overall, 7-0 league).
Tess Curry paced Potsdam (3-5, 2-5) with three goals. Abbie Adams made nine saves for the Sandstoners.
MASSENA 8, HEUVELTON 7
Nicole Johnson supplied three goals for the Red Raiders in an NAC win over the Bulldogs in Heuvelton.
Kylie Buckshot added two goals, and Pauline Behrens scored once and assisted on another goal for Massena (1-7, 1-5).
Natasha Ghize had four goals to lead Heuvelton (4-7, 4-3). Emily Bush added a goal and two assists for the Bulldogs.
CARTHAGE 18, IHC 2
Katie Ferris and Alanna Piroli each supplied four goals and an assist as the visiting Comets cruised to a Frontier League win over the Cavaliers.
Gabrielle Kamide scored once and distributed a season-high seven assists for Carthage (9-3, 7-0). Joelle Percy added four goals.
Elysa Doldo led Immaculate Heart Central (5-5, 3-3) with a goal and an assist.
WATERTOWN 19, SOUTH JEFFERSON 4
Rachel Schneeberger and Lindsay Gefell each contributed four goals as the Cyclones beat the visiting Spartans in a Frontier League game.
Taylor Hughes added three goals for Watertown (11-1, 5-1), and Kathleen Bacsik scored twice.
Shelby Wood tallied a pair of goals for South Jefferson (6-5, 2-4).
GENERAL BROWN 15, INDIAN RIVER 8
Samantha Roukous and Nichole Eamer each connected on four goals as the Lions won the Frontier League game at Dexter.
Maura Bradshaw pitched in with three goals, and Soo Kim made 13 saves for Indian River (5-5, 2-4).
Teddi Filiatrault provided three goals and one assist for the Warriors (2-9, 0-7).
