MASSENA — Traffic across the international bridge in April increased by 4 percent over the year before, according to the Seaway International Bridge Corp.

While the number of cars also was up by 4 percent, the number of trucks was down 2 percent.

Of the 210,570 total vehicles that crossed the bridge last month, 202,428 were cars and 8,142 were trucks. That compares with 202,854 total vehicles in April 2007, 194,547 of which were cars and 8,307 of which were trucks.
