Watertown city Attorney Robert J. Slye was expected to file the property deed with the Jefferson County for Gaffney Drive on Friday afternoon, City Manager Mary M. Corriveau said. The city purchased a decrepit portion of the road from R.F.P. Realty Inc., Watertown, and eventually will rebuilt it.
Mrs. Corriveau said signs have been installed along the road, warning people to travel at their own risk. City Department of Public Works crews have begun patching potholes.
