LOWVILLE — Lewis County has reached tentative labor deals with members of the road patrol and other Sheriff's Department employees.
County legislators will hold a special meeting at 5 p.m. Thursday in the state Supreme Court chambers in the county courthouse to consider ratifying the two contracts, and conduct any other business.
Terms of the tentative deals, which have been approved by union members and a legislative committee, won't be disclosed until they're ratified by the full Legislature, County Manager David H. Pendergast said.
About 45 members of the Civil Service Employees Association at the Sheriff's Department have been working without a contract since Jan. 1.
