State fair 'foolin'' with Def Leppard

The heavy metal bandDef Leppard has been bookedAug. 24 for the New York State Fair.

Tickets to see the iconic British hard-rock band at the fair's Mohegan Sun Grandstand on the Coors & LaBatt's Stage will go on sale at noon Saturday.

Tickets, priced at $49.50 and $39.50, can be purchased at the Fair's FYE box office, at all Ticketmaster outlets, or online through LiveNation.com or Ticketmaster.com. The concert show begins at 7:30 p.m.

Def Leppard was one of the most popular rock bands of the 1980s, selling more than 65 million albums. The group's chart-topping hits included "Pour Some Sugar on Me," "Photograph," "Rock of Ages," "Foolin'", and "Bringin' on the Heartbreak."

It recently released a new album, "Songs From the Sparkle Lounge."
