The 58th annual Armed Forces Day parade will start at 10 a.m. today in the Watertown High School parking lot.
The parade will proceed down Washington Street, stop briefly at the reviewing stand in front of the Dulles State Office Building and end on Stone Street.
"This is an event to honor our area's troops, both living and deceased, as well as their families," parade Chairman Stanley E. Zaremba said.
"It's a way to show our support of the 10th Mountain Division," he said.
This year's theme is "Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Future."
Twelve awards will be presented. Categories are best school band, best float, best Scout troop and best marching community group. Prizes for each category are $250 for first place, $150 for second and $100 for third.
