Police charge six people with DWI

The following people are charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

■ William J. Kiblin Jr., 35, of 114 N. Meadow St., was arrested at 4 a.m. Thursday by city police on charges of aggravated DWI, leaving the scene of an accident, endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree criminal trespass. Police said that while accompanied by his 11-year-old daughter, he drove to the residence of his estranged wife, Jeannie C. Kiblin, 418 Portage St., forced entry at the front door and had an argument with Mrs. Kiblin.

He had a breath test reading of 0.19 percent blood alcohol content, police said. State law sets 0.18 percent BAC as the threshold for aggravated DWI. He was being held Thursday in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, with bail set at $500 by part-time City Judge Eugene R. Renzi.

■ Harry K. Fairchild, 57, Malone, was charged Wednesday on Franklin Street, Malone, village police said. He was charged with aggravated DWI and had a blood alcohol content of 0.20 percent, police said. He also was charged with felony DWI because he has a prior conviction in 2002, police said. He was sent to Franklin County jail, Malone, on $5,000 bail.

■ Jeffrey D. Krueger, 44, Baltimore Bay, Md., was charged with aggravated DWI following his arrest by state police at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday on North Jefferson Street, Pulaski. His BAC was 0.19 percent, police said. He also was charged with a seat belt violation.

■ Tracy L. Longway, 38, Route 26, Constableville, also faces a charge of failure to keep right as a result of her arrest by state police at 12:35 a.m. Wednesday on Route 26 in the town of West Turin. Troopers listed her breath test result as 0.16 percent BAC. State law establishes 0.08 percent BAC as the threshold for intoxication.

■ Nathan G. Ralston, 21, Sandy Creek, also was charged by Oswego County sheriff's deputies at 11:50 p.m. Tuesday in Sandy Creek with leaving the scene of an accident, driving without a license, having improper plates and operating an unregistered and uninsured auto. His arrest resulted from an investigation into a domestic disturbance, according to the sheriff's office.

■ Michael W. Malek, 51, Utica, was charged at 2:12 a.m. Thursday after he was found parked on West Orvis Street, Massena, village police said. He also was charged with refusing a breath test, police said. His car was running and parked for two hours, police said.
