LYONS FALLS — Twin biathletes earlier this week visited the Otis Technology Inc. plant to film a commercial for the gun-cleaning-kit manufacturer.

Tracy and Lanny Barnes from Durango, Colo., both members of the U.S. women's biathlon team, also were presented with a check for $10,000 during Monday's visit, which followed a week of training at Lake Placid. They have been sponsored by Otis for the past four years.

"We are extremely proud of the twins and everything they do for the sport," company President Doreen A. Garrett said in a statement. "They are a direct reflection of everything Otis believes in."

The biathlon combines cross-country skiing with rifle marksmanship.
