6 charged with driving while intoxicated

The following face charges of driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

■ Richard A. Perillo, 25, Fort Drum, also was charged by Watertown police at 1:30 a.m. Friday with unsafe backing in the 700 block of Huntington Street. Police said he was involved in a property damage accident. His breath test reading was listed as 0.13 percent blood alcohol content. State law establishes 0.08 percent BAC as the threshold for DWI.

■ Bethanne M. Verville, 22, was charged by state police Friday with felony DWI after a traffic stop in the village of Massena for having inadequate taillights. She had a blood alcohol content of 0.9 percent, police said. She was arraigned in Massena Village Court and released.

■ Benjamin F. Parker, 23, Potsdam, also was charged Friday with having inadequate headlights after being stopped on Raymond Street, Potsdam village police said. His blood alcohol content was 0.13 percent.

■ Deborah Quirk, 52, Tupper Lake, was charged by Tupper Lake village police at 8:55 p.m. Friday. She also was charged with failure to keep right.

■ Kevin A. Stewart, 41, 258 Champion St., Apt. 308, Carthage, was charged by Watertown police at 8:29 p.m. Friday at 430 Factory Street. He was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and ordered held on $250 bail. He will answer the charges in Watertown Town Court.

■ Jose A. Peralta, 21, of 10124 4th Armour Division Dr., Apt. 229, was charged by Watertown police at 2:45 a.m. on Saturday at 1815 Olmstead Drive. He was also charged with failure to keep right and speeding. According to police, Mr. Peralta went off the shoulder of the road, lost control of his vehicle, and went into a spin before hitting a tree and ending up down an embankment. Mr. Peralta was release into the custody of military police. He will answer the charges in Watertown City Court.
