5 accused of drunken driving

The following face charges of driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

■ Glenn Hunt Jr., 47, of 916 California Road, Gouverneur, was charged by Gouverneur village police with aggravated DWI at 10:20 p.m. Saturday on West Main St. He also was charged with unsafe start, unlawful possession of marijuana, failure to dim headlights and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

His blood alcohol content was 0.19 percent, police said. State law establishes 0.08 percent BAC as the threshold for intoxication. The threshold for aggravated DWI is 0.18 percent BAC. He was arraigned in Gouverneur Town Court and ordered held in St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on $2,500 bail.

■ Russell D. Burns, 49, South Colton, was charged by St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies Saturday on Coldbrook Drive in Colton. He also was charged with false inspection, operating without inspection, improper plates, failure to keep right, unregistered motor vehicle and no insurance.

■ Jennifer E. Larue, 36, of 312 Clark St., Ogdensburg, also was charged Sunday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle after being found partially parked in the road on County Route 6 in the town of Oswegatchie, state police said.

She registered a 0.17 percent blood alcohol content. Ms. Larue also reportedly had prescription medication in her possession without a prescription.

■ Christine M. Hewitt, 22, of 138 Michigan Ave., Apt. 7, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies with aggravated DWI about 1:30 p.m. Sunday on Middle Road in the town of Brownville after her vehicle went off the road, crossed a ditch and struck several trees and bushes. Her blood alcohol content was allegedly found to be 0.21 percent.

■ Jonathan M. Belden, 23, of 802 Franklin St., Apt. 3, was charged by Watertown police at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of North Meadow Street. His BAC was alleged to be 0.13 percent.

■ Chad A. Donnell, 24, of Hampton, Va., was charged by state police at 3:33 a.m. Sunday in the village of Alexandria Bay after being stopped for driving his vehicle the wrong way down a one way street. His BAC was 0.15 percent, police said. He will answer the charge in Village Court.

■ James J. Stine Jr., 50, of Blossvale, was charged by state police at 1:53 a.m. Sunday in the village of Alexandria Bay after being stopped for riding his motorcycle the wrong way down a one-way street. His BAC was 0.15 percent. He will answer the charge in Alexandria Bay Village Court.

■ Marek J. Bursztynski, 25, of 697 Lily Road, Warminster, Penn., also was charged Sunday with failure to stop at stop sign and crossing hazardous markings after being stopped on Route 12 in the town of Turin, Lewis County sheriff's deputies said. He registered a 0.12 percent BAC.

He was arraigned in Turin Town Court and sent to the Lewis County jail on $1,000 cash bail.

■ Michael J. Trombley, 18, Malone, was charged by Malone village police at 11:55 p.m. Saturday on Main Street.
