STOCKHOLM — St. Lawrence County fire investigators Wednesday continued searching for the cause of a blaze that destroyed a County Route 49 home.
Firefighters responded to a report of a fire about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at 1669 County Route 49. The West Stockholm and Brasher volunteer fire companies battled the blaze. The mobile home is owned by Edna Rufa.
David Cantrell was taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam, for treatment of smoke inhalation and released late Tuesday, fire investigators said.
