DENVER — Carthage native Ryan Powell supplied a record-breaking performance to guide the Western Conference All-Stars past the Eastern Conference, 31-15, at the Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game on Thursday at INVESCO Field.

Powell, an attacker for the Denver Outlaws, tallied six goals to set a new all-star game record. He added an assist to complete a seven-point effort, which also tied the all-star mark.

Former Syracuse University midfielder Steven Brooks finished with three goals for the West. He is in his first season with the Chicago Machine.
