6 motorists face counts pertaining to alcohol

Six motorists were charged Thursday and early Friday with driving while intoxicated, with four facing aggravated DWI counts:

■ Brent R. Williams, 29, of 251 Stone St., Watertown, was charged by city police with aggravated DWI, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to keep right at 2:45 a.m. Friday in the 300 block of Washington Street. He had a 0.21 percent blood alcohol content, police said. A BAC level of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more.

■ Theresa L. McDonald, 42, Joyner Road, Theresa, also faces charges of felony aggravated unlicensed operation and crossing hazard markings, lodged by state police after she veered off Route 26 in town of Alexandria at 1:05 a.m. Friday and struck a tree. She was treated at River Hospital, Alexandria Bay, for minor injuries. Police listed her test reading at 0.17 percent BAC. She also was charged in May with DWI in the town of Theresa.

■ Valerie J. Berry, 39, Dexter, faces charges of aggravated DWI, failure to use a designated lane and moving from a lane unsafely, lodged by state police about 8 p.m. Thursday after she drove into a ditch off Fire Road 125 in the town of Brownville, near Moffett Road. Her test reading was 0.19 percent BAC, police said.

■ Christopher J. Clase, 30, Rochester, was arrested by state police on an aggravated DWI charge at 1:20 a.m. Friday on Route 12 in the town of Alexandria. His test reading was unavailable. He was placed in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Watertown, with bail set at $250 by Alexandria Town Justice Lewis H. Perry Jr.

■ Steven P. Finan, 50, Lakeside, Calif., was cited with aggravated DWI after he took a spill with his motorcycle at 6:35 p.m. Thursday while turning from Route 12 to the driveway at the Sir Robert Peel Motel, according to state police. He tested at 0.20 percent BAC, police said.

■ Renee F. Bush, 46, Lowville, was arrested by Watertown police in the 200 block of Bellew Avenue at 2:15 a.m. Friday. She tested at 0.16 percent BAC, police said.
