DEC lists violations and fines

The state Department of Environmental Conservation announced the following fines and violations in St. Lawrence, Lewis and Jefferson counties:

ST. LAWRENCE

■ Ben L. Hamm, 53, Raymondville, paid a $50 fine for taking bass out of season May 30 in the town of Norfolk. He appeared June 17 in Town Court.

LEWIS

■ Ernie A. Beyer, 38, Martinsburg, paid two $50 fines for violating a deer nuisance permit and illegally taking protected wildlife April 2 in the town of Martinsburg. He appeared June 16 in Town Court.

■ Eric K. Seeley, 19, Glenfield, paid two $100 fines for hunting turkeys without a permit and hunting turkeys with illegal shot size May 11, 2007, in the town of Martinsburg. He appeared July 16, 2007, in Town Court.

■ Joseph M. Merritt, 17, Oswego, paid a $30 fine for fishing without a license June 4 in the town of Lowville. He appeared June 19 in Town Court.

■ Joshua M. Marolf, 19, Lowville, paid a $100 fine for fishing without a license April 20 in the town of New Bremen. He appeared July 23 in Town Court.

JEFFERSON

■ Daniel B. Simoneau, 20, Dexter, paid a $50 fine for using more than five tip-ups while ice fishing March 1 in the town of Orleans. He appeared April 1 in Town Court.

■ Jeffery P. LaDonne, 40, New York, paid a $50 fine for fishing without a license June 26 in the town of Theresa. He appeared July 15 in Town Court.

■ Alexey Y. Karigut, 46, Endicott, paid a $25 fine for possessing a short bass Aug. 17, 2005, in the town of Orleans. She appeared June 26 in Town Court.

■ Raymond K. Cean, 64, Watertown, paid $175 in fines for failing to tag turkey and five counts of taking over the turkey limit May 7 in the town of Hounsfield. He appeared June 24 in Town Court.

■ Joseph F. Simmons, 65, Elkton, Md., paid a $20 fine for fishing without a license May 24 in the town of Theresa. He appeared June 17 in Town Court.

■ Shannon R. Robinson, 38, Lavale, Md., paid a $10 fine for fishing without a license May 24 in the town of Theresa. She appeared July 1 in Town Court.

■ Stephanie G. Howell, 40, Cumberland, Md., paid a $10 fine for fishing without a license May 24 in the town of Theresa. She appeared July 1 in Town Court.
