GOUVERNEUR — The village Board of Trustees will have a public hearing at 6:45 p.m. Sept. 16 in the municipal building on proposed changes to parking in the municipal lot.
The changes are at the request of business owners who have complained parking spots aren't readily available, Mayor Dorothy L. Vorce said. The board plans to turn all long- and short-term spaces near Aubuchon Hardware into two-hour spots.
The next section of parking will be both long- and short-term but reversed from what it is presently. The village also plans to add a stop sign in the lot coming off Trinity Avenue.
