In the race for state Senate, I have become increasingly concerned that we are all being misled by the person challenging Sen. Darrel Aubertine. The candidate, David Renzi, seems to be one of those politicians who will say one thing to get elected and do another thing if he gets into office.
Take the commercials he has been running. He talks a lot about reforming Albany, but his whole campaign is being funded and run by the very people who have been blocking reform in the Senate.
He talks a lot about cutting state spending, but everywhere he goes he is promising more money. He talks about running a positive campaign, but all he does is criticize Darrel and attack Darrel at every turn.
As Darrel has said, Mr. Renzi is talking out of both sides of his mouth. That seems to be enough of a warning sign to me that he will be the kind of a candidate who will turn into a typical politician.
