I feel that the portable radar units in Lewis County are a big help to students and people continuously crossing roads and streets. The radar makes motorists slow down because of the speed shown on the boards helping keep the roads safe and free from accidents.

In some areas the speed limit feels like it should be 55 mph even though it may be reduced. Having these devices keeps people at the posted speed limit.
