PARISHVILLE — Helen Linnie Howes, 93, Parishville, died Friday at Whiteford Adult Home in Hermon.
Born May 13, 1915, in the town of Parishville, a daughter of Frank and Pearle Champney Hinman, she married Walter Howes on July 25, 1932, at First Baptist Church in Potsdam. Mr. Howes died Aug. 14, 1981.
Mrs. Howes was a former member of the Parishville Firemen's Auxiliary, the Rebekah Lodge in Parishville, and the Parishville United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Joyce Bump, Parishville; a foster son, Alfred Place, Delmar; four granddaughters and two grandsons.
Three brothers, Arthur, Howard and Ralph Hinman, and a son, George E., died before her.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Seymour Funeral Home, Potsdam, with the Rev. Lee Sweeney, pastor of Knapps Station Community Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
