9 accused of drunken driving

A Watertown man who was convicted of aggravated driving while intoxicated in May now is charged with felony aggravated DWI, according to Watertown police.

Kevin M. Crosbie, 45, of 22066 Brown Road, was arrested at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of South Massey Street, where he additionally was cited with felony aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to yield the right of way.

Police said he had a breath test reading of 0.22 percent blood alcohol content. A BAC level of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more.

Mr. Crosbie's conviction in May stemmed from an arrest in the city April 9, when police said he tested at 0.27 percent BAC.

Also charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

■ Steven R. Woodward, 38, of 621 Mundy St., Watertown, faces charges of aggravated DWI, felony aggravated unlicensed operation and speeding at 45 mph in a 30-mph speed zone following his arrest at 12:40 a.m. Friday by Watertown police. Officers said they followed him from the 500 block of Arsenal Street to the 600 block of LeRay Street. He had a test reading of 0.18 percent BAC, police said.

■ Gustavo Ruiz, 29, Chesapeake, Va., was arrested at 12:40 a.m. Thursday after Jefferson County sheriff's deputies alleged he was driving a 103 mph in a 55-mph speed zone of Route 283 in the town of Pamelia. He also is charged with reckless driving and driving without headlights. He tested at 0.17 percent BAC, according to the sheriff's office.

■ Craig L. Cook, 28, of 84 Cook Farm Lane, Hogansburg, also was charged early Friday with several other traffic infractions. Massena village police said Mr. Cook was charged following his involvement in a three-car accident at 2:51 a.m. on East Orvis Street that injured at least one person. Further details were not available from police.

■ Daniel S. Crow, 23, Fort Drum, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies with aggravated DWI and failure to keep right at 12:40 a.m. Friday on Route 283 in the town of LeRay. His test result was 0.27 percent BAC, deputies said.

■ Dorothy J. Wagner, 38, of 1932 County Route 3, Hammond, was charged Tuesday with aggravated DWI after being stopped on County Route 2 in the town of Morristown, state police said. She registered a 0.18 percent BAC, police said.

■ Ryan C. Lennox, 26, Adams, also was charged by state police with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident at 10:59 p.m. Friday on Route 342 in the town of Pamelia. Further details were not provided.

■ Joshua A. Collins, 22, Fort Drum, also was charged Tuesday with several traffic infractions after a one-vehicle accident on Route 37 in the town of Louisville, state police said. A blood test will determine his BAC.

■ James P. Hare, 39, Lowville, was charged after he was involved in a property damage accident at 10:40 p.m. Friday on Route 26 in the town of LeRay.

Charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs:

■ Brian D. Webb, 27, of 159 Sweet Road, Madrid, also was charged Tuesday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and several traffic infractions after being stopped on New York Avenue in Ogdensburg, state police said. The investigation revealed that Mr. Webb had apparently used marijuana and Vicodin, state police said.
