CONSTABLE — A Constable woman was killed Wednesday in a two-car crash at 4:05 p.m. on Coveytown Road.

Sally A. Dupra, 39, of 234 Coveytown Road, a passenger in a vehicle driven by her mother, Carolyn J. Dupra, 71, same address, died at the scene, troopers said.

Carolyn Dupra was driving west when she lost control on the snow- and slush-covered road and skidded into the eastbound lane. Lynn R. Cook, 54, of 275 Route 190, Brainardsville, the driver of the second vehicle, tried to avoid a crash but struck the Dupra car in the front passenger door, troopers said.

The Constable Rescue Squad took Carolyn Dupra to Alice Hyde Medical Center, Malone, where she was in critical condition Thursday.
