Lorraine man gets probation in theft of boss's credit card

A town of Lorraine man was sentenced Tuesday in Jefferson County Court to probation for stealing his employer's credit card.

Robert L. Edington,29, of 8460 County Route 97, was sentenced to five years' probation for an Oct. 27 guilty plea to fourth-degree grand larceny. He was accused of stealing a credit card from Eric J. Mattot and using it to make unauthorized purchases in March in the town of Watertown. He also was ordered to pay $902 in restitution.

In other court activity Tuesday,Anthony M. DeMarco,33, of 129 Breen Ave., was sentenced to three years' probation for an Oct. 27 guilty plea to fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

He was accused of using a credit card belonging to Kristin M. Phelps to buy gasoline June 28 at a Watertown convenience store.
