GOUVERNEUR — A Richville man was jailed Thursday after allegedly causing a disturbance in the parking lot of a William Street establishment.

Village police charged Corey L. Bush, 24, of 1625 Boland Road, Richville, with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of disorderly conduct and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Police were called to the Palms Restaurant, where Mr. Bush allegedly was screaming obscenities in the parking lot. Police said he had in his possession marijuana and a straw containing residue of a schedule II narcotic. Schedule II narcotics include drugs like cocaine, ritalin and oxycodone.

He was arraigned in Town Court and sent to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on $500 cash bail.
