Reward offered for info about Hogansburg arson

HOGANSBURG — A reward is being offered for information about an arson fire that damaged the restaurant side of Thompson's Fish Fry and Bait and Tackle Shop on Route 37.

The reward will be given for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. The Hogansburg-Akwesasne volunteer fire department responded to the fire about 3:30 a.m. Feb. 28 and had the fire under control in about three hours.

A neighbor called emergency dispatchers about the fire. No injuries were reported. A reward amount has not been finalized yet.
