An Oswego County woman is facing five charges, including aggravated driving while intoxicated, after her vehicle struck and damaged a garage Saturday night on Route 193 in Ellisburg, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.
Katherine A. Jurenko, 35, West Monroe, also is charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to keep right, a seat belt violation and violating her conditional license.
She had a breath test reading of 0.25 percent blood alcohol content, according to the sheriff's office. A BAC level of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more.
Deputies said her vehicle went off the road shortly after 10 p.m. and struck the garage on the property of Ross E. Hockey, 12000 Route 193. She pulled away and was followed by Mr. Hockey until a patrol arrived to arrest her on County Route 75 in the town of Ellisburg, deputies said.
Also charged with DWI and related offenses:
■ Theodore E. Flora III, 28, of 613 Lansing St., Watertown, was charged by city police with aggravated DWI and a stop sign infraction early Wednesday morning in the 100 block of North Rutland Street. Police listed his test result as 0.23 percent.
■ Michael T. Medina, 47, of 236 Breen Ave., was arrested on a DWI count for the second time in three weeks after a state trooper halted him at 12:20 a.m. Wednesday on State Street in Watertown to initially cite him with using a cell phone while driving. He tested at 0.13 percent, police said. His prior arrest was on Feb. 26 by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies.
■ Dustin M. Orton, 23, Rogers Crossing Road, town of Wilna, was charged by Carthage police with DWI and several other offenses including criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of marijuana and crossing road hazard markings. Police said Mr. Orton was driving on State Street, weaving back and forth and crossing the road lines, when he was pulled over at 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Police found a dagger in his car, they said. Mr. Orton's BAC registered at 0.10 percent, according to police.
■ James B. Cook, 25, of 207 Emjay Way, Carthage, was arrested by village police March 12 on State Street and was charged with DWI, felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, and using a cell phone while driving. His BAC wasn't available Wednesday.
■ Erik C. Madore, 21, of 307 Washington St., Brownville, was arrested by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies at 10:05 p.m. Monday on County Route 53 in the town of Brownville on charges of driving while under the influence of drugs, unlawful possession of marijuana and violating restrictions on his driver's license.
Charges were also filed against his passengers. Eric W. Piche, 19, Dexter, and Keri A. Lehtonen, 20, Route 12, Watertown, are cited with unlawful possession of marijuana, and Ms. Lehtonen is additionally charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two oxycodone pills, according to the sheriff's office.
■ Walter R. Metcalf, 33, Fulton, was charged Wednesday by Canton police on East Main Street, and was also cited with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and two traffic infractions. He registered a 0.17 percent BAC, police said.
