William S. Reyes Jr., 27, of 845 Starbuck Ave., Apt. 1302, was arrested Saturday night on several charges, including driving while intoxicated, after a domestic dispute began at his home and continued to Seaway Plaza in the town of Pamelia, Jefferson County sheriff's deputies said.
The incident began at the Reyes residence as a verbal argument between Mr. Reyes and his wife, deputies said. Mrs. Reyes tried to leave the residence with her two children in a vehicle and Mr. Reyes chased them in a second vehicle, ramming the first vehicle several times while on Route 11 and Plaza Drive, deputies said.
Mr. Reyes was found on Starbuck Avenue by Watertown city police about 8:14 p.m. He faces charges of felony first-degree reckless endangerment, misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child, DWI, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and several other vehicle and traffic violations.
Mr. Reyes registered a blood alcohol content of 0.14 percent, deputies said. State law establishes 0.08 percent BAC as the threshold for intoxication.
He was held on $7,500 bail at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building. Bail was posted and he was released around 2 p.m. Sunday.
