CHAUMONT — Sandra L. White, 68, formerly of Madison Street, died Saturday morning at Samaritan Keep Home, Watertown, where she had been a resident since 2006.
Mrs. White was a licensed practical nurse at Samaritan Keep Home and the Jefferson County Home the Aged for many years.
Born Nov. 9, 1940, in Watertown, daughter of Lacey R. and Mary Jareo Trainham, she graduated in 1959 from Watertown High School.
She married Richard White on Nov. 12, 1963, in Maryland. He died in August 1995.
Mrs. White enjoyed bingo, playing the lottery, camping trips, traveling and collecting rare rocks.
Surviving are four daughters and a son-in-law, Kelly Cummings, and her companion, Ernest Peyton, and Jo Anne Brown, all of Watertown, Jenny Lagano, Brownville, and Mary Beth and Michael Rickard, Chaumont; a son and his wife, Jason Richard and Shannon, Chaumont; a brother and his wife, James and Paula Trainham, East Rodman; 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Two sisters, Sharon Castor and Mary Marrriott, died before her.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Reed & Benoit Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
