BURRVILLE — A man has been jailed because he has again victimized one of his parents here with a burglary, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.
Ryan P. Clement, 23, Wilton Road, Great Bend, was arrested Thursday morning on a charge of third-degree burglary. He was arraigned before town of Watertown Justice James P. McClusky, who sent him to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Watertown, on $5,000 bail to await grand jury action.
A detective said Mr. Clement is accused of entering the Burrville Sawmill about 8 p.m. Tuesday and stealing $18 from a cash box.
His father, Philip Clement, owns the mill.
In September 2005, when he was 19, the younger Mr. Clement pleaded guilty to second-degree forgery and third-degree burglary in connection with an intrusion a month earlier at his parents' home on County Route 161. He stole several items, including a sleeping bag and pillows. He also had a check from his father's business account and forged it.
He was serving a probation sentence when arrested, according to the sheriff's office.
