Mailbag

Now that I am starting to get e-mails more frequently, I decided to create "mailbag" posts periodically. They will appear at random until a consistent flow of user e-mails come in, at which point I hope to have a weekly "mailbag" post.

Thomas had this to say of my I Love You, Man review:

"Your review was a bit off track I thought. I made me wonder if younger people just won't get this movie. I found it more a chick flick, with dude flickness involved, which I found different. I guess 20 something people will not like it as you suggest, but what do 20 something people like? Are they still stuck in that grunge, I hate everything, and I will not do anything to change things mode? I don't know. I trust Rush fans like me, and my not into Rush girlfriend, and my brother who enjoyed it are different that you, so have different views."

Mark responded to The Tracey Fragments with this:

"The movie is about a girl who has problems with her parents, loses her brother by carelessness, and fantasizes about the new boy in school. First viewing I felt a bit left without any real answers, but after a second viewing everything was there for all to see. It is basically the way she remembers the past events that lead her to where she is. I enjoyed the movie."

If you ever have a comment on a movie or suggestions on how to make my blog better, please e-mail me.

The answer to Friday's NAME THAT MOVIE is Bull Durham.

Jude Seymour answered correctly.

Bull Durham. Rated: R. Starring: Tim Robbins and Kevin Costner..

One-minute review: Just excellent. It is the funniest baseball movie in existence. It has a great seductress in Susan Sarandon, who steals most of her scenes. The characters are lovable and hilarious. It's an absurd movie that is somehow how I envision a minor league clubhouse. Add to Netflix queue, Add to Blockbuster queue.
