Repairs to library fencing to cost taxpayers $16,700

The city of Watertown will need to spend $16,700 to fix the marble fence outside Flower Memorial Library, City Manager Mary M. Corriveau said.

Library officials had scheduled to have minor repairs done to the wall this summer, but their plans were accelerated when a Department of Public Works employee drove a piece of machinery into the relic.
