Consolidation in order

To Mary Youngs and the village board: It is time that the village do the right thing and dissolve the village and merge with the town of Lowville. During these hard times, the right thing is to get smaller rather than bigger. Many small towns and villages have done it and have been successful, including the village of Old Forge.

If I remember correctly, the town and village tried being under one roof before and it didn't work. As for the village police department, disband it and let the state police and sheriff's department cover the area.
