Three cited with DWI in weekend incidents

Three motorists were charged Friday and Saturday with DWI and related offenses in separate incidents.

■ Paul R. Ward, 42, of 416 John St., Ogdensburg, was charged Friday with aggravated driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident after he crashed a 2001 Hyundai on State Street, Ogdensburg, city police said.

He registered a 0.33 percent blood alcohol content, police said.

Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication; aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more.

■ Christopher R. Parent, 31, of 45 Main St., Adams, was stopped by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies Saturday morning along Route 342 in LeRay. He was charged with DWI, failure to keep right, first-degree unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and consumption of alcohol while operating a motor vehicle. His BAC was 0.12 percent, deputies said.

■ Michael W. Youngs, 24, of 312 Lake St., Hammond, was stopped by Gouverneur village police Saturday morning on West Barney Street and charged with failure to keep right, misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and misdemeanor aggravated driving while intoxicated. A BAC reading was not immediately available.
