North country drivers cited for intoxication

The following drivers were ticketed on driving while intoxicated charges:

■ Robert A. Powers, 23, of 39210 Houghton Road, Philadelphia, was stopped at 11:10 p.m. Saturday on Route 3, Henderson, by state park police. Police said his BAC was 0.10 percent. He was also charged with driving an uninspected motor vehicle. A BAC level of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law.

■ City police charged Clifford D.A. Dickey, 25, of 3244 County Route 54, Depauville, with felony-level driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle during a 6:14 a.m. stop Sunday morning on Coffeen Street. Police said his blood alcohol content was 0.14 percent. Mr. Dickey was previously convicted of DWI on Sept. 23, 2006 in Clayton Town Court, police said. He is to answer the new charges in City Court.

■ David R. Matice, 51, of 6 Smith Road, Gouverneur, was charged Sunday with aggravated driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right when he was stopped on East Barney Street in the village of Gouverneur, St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies said. He registered a 0.33 percent blood alcohol content. A charge of aggravated DWI is lodged for a BAC of 0.18 or more.

■ Ashley F. St. John, 24, Potsdam, was charged Sunday with DWI, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and moving from lane unsafely when stopped on Main Street, Potsdam village police said. She registered a 0.17 percent BAC.

■ Cynthia M. Paquin, 21, of 5 Furnace St., Norfolk, was charged Sunday with DWI when she was stopped on County Route 40 in the town of Louisville, state police said. She registered a 0.16 percent BAC.

■ Deylin M. Timmons, 22, of 2446 Chateaugay St., Fort Covington, was charged Sunday with aggravated DWI when he was stopped on Route 37 in Massena, state police said. He registered a 0.18 percent BAC.

■ George M. Sepko, 49, of 26109 Route 283, Watertown, was stopped at 7 p.m. Saturday on McDonald Road, Montague, by state park police and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right. Park police said his BAC was 0.18 percent. Mr. Sepko was driving an all-terrain vehicle in the annual Snirt Run.
