CANTON — Village police said they do not suspect foul play in the death of a 22-year-old SUNY Canton student from Pulaski who was found dead in his apartment Monday.

Andrew J. Holynski, who was in his second year of the two-year automotive technology program, was found by the landlord of Liberty Apartments on Riverside Drive shortly before noon Monday. St. Lawrence County Coroner Russell B. Lawrence III pronounced him dead at the scene, police said.

Dr. Samuel A. Livingstone, a Jefferson County medical examiner, conducted the autopsy Monday night at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam. The results are pending a toxicology report.

Mr. Holynski attended Pulaski High School and later obtained his General Educational Development certificate, SUNY Canton officials said. The college is offering counseling services throughout the week and expressed sympathy to the family.
