The following motorists were charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses.
■ Kevin D. Poff, 24, of 9528B Hamilton Loop, Fort Drum, was charged by Watertown police with aggravated DWI and running a red light at 3:30 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of North Massey Street.
Mr. Poff allegedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.20 percent. Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication, while 0.18 percent is the threshold for aggravated DWI.
■ Kylie R. Merritt, 17, of 25371 Route 3, Watertown, also was charged by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies with stopping a vehicle in the roadway and driving while ability impaired by alcohol at 1:16 a.m. Saturday on Riverbend Drive in the town of LeRay. She allegedly had a BAC of only 0.07 percent but was charged with DWI based on police observations.
■ Frederick J. Lapierre, 72, of 17 Parker Ave., Deferiet, was arrested by state police at 9 p.m. Wednesday on Route 3 in the town of Wilna, where he initially was cited with failure to keep right. Police listed his breath test result as 0.14 percent BAC.
■ Michael J. Soukup, 51, of 708 State St., Carthage, was charged at 12:15 a.m. Friday on State Street in Carthage by a Jefferson County deputy sheriff, and also faces a charge of crossing hazard markings. He also had a 0.14 percent reading, according to the sheriff's office.
■ Ronald S. Avery, 53, of 4559 Route 37, Malone, was charged at a checkpoint at 12:05 p.m. Friday on Route 37 in Fort Covington. His BAC was 0.16 percent, state police said.
■ Webster R. Miller, 22, Fort Drum, was charged by state police at 2:28 a.m. Saturday at Huntington Street and North Michigan Avenue in Watertown.
