A Carthage man is jailed under $10,000 bail after being arrested on his second felony driving while intoxicated charge in two months.
Troy A. Bigelow, 34, of 333 S. Washington St., was arrested by Carthage police at 1:25 a.m. Tuesday on State Street. Also cited with having loud exhaust and operating an uninspected vehicle, he was arraigned before Wilna Town Justice Richard A. Buckingham. He is being held in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Watertown.
Police said he had a breath test result of 0.11 percent blood alcohol content. Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or more constitutes intoxication.
He is charged with a felony because he was convicted of DWI in 2006 in the town of Wilna. He still faces prosecution on a felony DWI charge lodged March 7 on Route 3 in the town of Diana. He also has a conviction for driving while ability is impaired by the use of alcohol, a reduction from a DWI charge lodged in May 2003 by Watertown police.
The following also face DWI charges.
■ Frederick T. Goodwin, 42, of 32426 County Route 179, Chaumont, was arrested by state police after initially being cited with failure to keep right at 6:10 p.m. Monday on County Route 54 in the town of Brownville. He tested at 0.14 percent, troopers said.
■ Michael A. Burr, 24, of 43545 Beartown Road, Natural Bridge, additionally is charged by Carthage police with consuming an alcoholic beverage in a vehicle and using studded tires out of season. Following his arrest at 10:50 p.m. Sunday on State Street, he registered 0.13 percent on the breath test, police said.
His passenger, Nicole S. McMahon, 23, Wrape Road, Carthage, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Police said she stood in the middle of the road shouting at an officer, and then attempted to pull away while being handcuffed.
■ Robert C. Flynn, 39, Potsdam, was arrested Sunday and also is charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony aggravated unlicensed operation and several traffic tickets, state police said. He was stopped on Route 37 in Ogdensburg and registered a 0.11 percent BAC, police said.
■ John A. Adams, 47, of 912 Lake St., Ogdensburg, was charged Sunday when he was stopped on Route 37 in the town of Oswegatchie, state police said. His BAC was listed as 0.15 percent.
■ Corey L. Bush, 25, of 1625 Boland Road, Richville, was charged Tuesday by Gouverneur police, and also faces a felony count of first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. He was stopped on Service Street in Gouverneur. His BAC wasn't available.
