Several face counts of drunken driving

The following face charges of driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

■ Shannon M. Melinda, 25, of 1620 Huntington St., was stopped at 2:33 a.m. Saturday on the 300 block of Mill Street. Her blood alcohol content was 0.16 percent, Watertown police said. State law establishes 0.08 percent BAC as the threshold for intoxication. She also was charged with driving without a license.

■ Mackenzie R. Shute, 23, of 520 Academy St., Apt. 2, was stopped at 2:47 a.m. Saturday on the 100 block of Francis Street. She also was charged with failure to keep right and driving without a license. Her BAC was 0.14 percent, Watertown police said.

■ Dustin C. Foster, 25, of 801 Burchard St., also was charged by Watertown police Saturday morning with passing through a flashing red light and driving without a license. His BAC was 0.16 percent, police said.

■ Christopher L. Turk, 25, of 839 Coffeen St., was charged with aggravated DWI after registering a BAC of 0.23 percent, Watertown police said. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more. He was pulled over at 1:55 a.m. Saturday on the 200 block of Mill Street.

■ Marcus A. Garcia, 21, San Antonio, Texas, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies with aggravated DWI and speeding at 1:56 a.m. Monday on Route 126 in the town of Champion. He allegedly had a BAC of 0.18 percent. Police said they clocked him at 121 mph in a 55-mph zone.

■ Cynthia M. Collins, 52, of 17120 County Route 53, Lot 43, Dexter, was charged by state police with aggravated DWI and not wearing a seat belt at 12:50 a.m. Saturday on Public Square in Watertown. She allegedly had a BAC of 0.21 percent.

■ Christopher J. Conway, 26, Baldwinsville, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies with aggravated DWI, driving across hazard markings and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle at 2:22 a.m. Saturday on Route 12 in the town of Alexandria. He allegedly had a BAC of 0.18 percent.

■ Michael A. Robinson, 24, of 1815 Olmsted Drive, Apt. 219B, also was charged by Watertown police with driving without a license after being stopped Saturday morning on the 300 block of Mill Street. He refused a breath test at the scene, police said.

■ Rodney V. Clement II, 26, of 333 S. Washington St., Apt. 22D, Carthage, was stopped by Watertown police Friday night on the 800 block of Pearl Street. His BAC was 0.11 percent, police said.

■ Stephen M. Schmidt, 27, of 535 Bradley St., upper apartment, was charged by Watertown police with aggravated DWI after being stopped shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday on the 100 block of Factory Street. His BAC was 0.23 percent, police said.

■ Steven G. Powis, 28, of 1291 LeRay St., Apt. 2, was stopped by Watertown police late Friday. His BAC was 0.17 percent, police said.

■ Arthur N. Brown, 32, Evans Mills, was also charged by state police with making an unsafe start at 9:15 p.m. Sunday on County Route 46 in the town of Theresa.

■ William H. Odell, 53, Watertown, was also charged by state police with not wearing a seat belt and consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle at 4:05 a.m. Sunday on Evans Road in the town of Hounsfield.

■ Vincent C. Caruso, 59, Norwood, was charged by state police at 4:33 p.m. Saturday on Route 56 in the town of Potsdam. Police said he was pulled over for not yielding the right of way when making a left turn. His BAC was 0.10 percent, police said.

■ Daniel J. Besaw, 22, Richville, was charged at 5:22 p.m. Friday at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, Ogdensburg. According to police, Mr. Besaw flipped his car along County Route 14 at 4 p.m. Friday. He was taken to Claxton-Hepburn with multiple injuries, police said. Police did not say what the injuries were and did not release a BAC.

■ Kevin G. Barkley, 38, Wad-dington, was charged with inadequate plate lamp, failure to keep right and aggravated DWI at 2:22 a.m. Sunday on County Route 44. His BAC was 0.20 percent, police said.
