A federal judge ruled Thursday that General Motors Corp. has the right to determine the locations of its authorized dealerships and the right to reject any proposed relocation by one of its dealers.

U.S. District Court Judge Thomas J. McAvoy said DealMaker LLC, doing business as Seaway Chevrolet, can't move its Chevrolet dealership from Route 37 in Theresa to Route 11 in the town of LeRay.

DealMaker had proposed moving its DealMaker Chevrolet, 38235 Route 37, Theresa, to a site at 25744 Route 11, Evans Mills, across from the Walmart Supercenter.

GM filed the action in February 2007.
