A Harrisville woman who had two convictions for driving while intoxicated was jailed Thursday night on several charges after state police say she slammed her vehicle into a vending machine and the NuBrenWay store, Natural Bridge, then drove away.
Chantelle M. Laduc, 39, of 6 Greenwood Road, was apprehended shortly before 9 p.m. after she parked her vehicle and led a trooper on a foot chase into a field off Avery Road in the town of Wilna, police said. She was arrested on charges of felony DWI, felony aggravated unlicensed operation, leaving the scene of an accident, fourth-degree criminal mischief, refusal to submit to a breath test, failure to comply with police orders and having insufficient taillights.
She was held in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building until Friday afternoon, when her bail of $5,000, set by Wilna Town Justice Richard A. Buckingham, was posted.
Police said she has DWI convictions from 2002 in St. Lawrence County and 2004 in Jefferson County, leading to the felony charge.
Also charged with DWI and related offenses:
■ Martin R. Berger, 35, of 5 Thomas Ave., Norfolk, was charged Saturday with felony DWI after being involved in a one-car accident in the town of Bellmont, state police said. Troopers said Mr. Berger suffered minor injuries and was treated at Alice Hyde Medical Center, Malone. He was arraigned in Town Court and sent to Franklin County jail, Malone, on $1,500 bail or $3,000 bond. Troopers said further details were not available.
■ Marjorie M. Docteur, 41, Cape Vincent, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies with aggravated DWI and failure to keep right at 1:49 a.m. Saturday on Route 26 in the town of Champion. Ms. Docteur allegedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.19 percent.
Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or more constitutes intoxication, while aggravated DWI requires a level of 0.18 percent or higher.
■ Vincent H. Papineau, 52, of 758 E. Stonewood Apartments, Philadelphia, was also charged by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies with reckless driving, failure to keep right, following too closely and driving to the left of pavement markings at 4:10 p.m. Saturday on Main Street in Theresa. He allegedly refused to submit to a breathalyzer test.
Mr. Papineau was arraigned before Philadelphia Town Justice Richard L. Spencer, sent to the Metro-Jefferson PSB and later released on $500 bail.
■ Collin A. Pilgrim, 29, Route 11, Watertown, was charged by state police with felony DWI at 10:59 p.m. Friday on Route 12F in the town of Hounsfield. Mr. Pilgrim was arraigned before Hounsfield Town Justice Sherry Derouin and sent to the Metro-Jefferson PSB on $1,000 bail.
■ Naomi Beadore, 19, Glenfield, was charged by Lowville police early Tuesday on Park Place. Ms. Beadore had a BAC of 0.11 percent, police said.
■ Heath A. Lalone, 25, Dexter, was charged by state police with aggravated DWI at 10:21 p.m. Friday on Warren Street in Brownville.
■ David M. Prevost, 43, Syracuse, was charged Friday with felony DWI and making an unsafe lane change when stopped on Sandstone Drive, Potsdam village police said. He registered a 0.15 percent BAC, police said.
■ Gordon E. Balcom, 52, Lyons Falls, was charged by state police at 11 p.m. Friday on Kotel Road in the town of Watson.
■ Joshua J. Krywosa, 24, Boonville, was charged by state police at 10:46 p.m. Saturday on Hodge Road in the town of Watson.
■ Nathan G. Hartranft, 26, Sandy Creek, was charged by state police at 3:30 a.m. Sunday on Ellisburg Street in the town of Sandy Creek.
■ David J. Gray, 36, of 118 Bridge St., Theresa, was charged with aggravated DWI as a result of his arrest by state police at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday on Route 37 in the town of Pamelia. Troopers reported his BAC at 0.20 percent.
■ Lindsay B. Weaver, 24, of 1447 County Route 22, Gouverneur, was charged May 23 by Gouverneur police with aggravated DWI and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle when she was stopped on Main Street. Her BAC wasn't available.
■ Patrick G. Boyanski, 36, of 25477 Ridge Road, Watertown, was arrested by Watertown police at 2:10 a.m. Thursday after he was involved in a property-damage accident on Park Drive. He had a BAC of 0.17 percent, police said.
■ David F. Scanlon, 53, West End Avenue, Carthage, faces an aggravated DWI charge, lodged May 24 by Carthage police.
■ Sherri A. Denicola, 37, of 41913 Bay Ave., Fishers Landing, was also charged by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies with moving from a lane unsafely May 22 on Bradley Street in Watertown. She allegedly had a BAC of 0.09 percent.

■ Randy R. Nicholls, 33, of 25 Spring St., Adams, was arrested at 1:50 a.m. Tuesday by state police in the village of Adams.
