Six arraigned on cocaine charges

Six people were arraigned Thursday in Jefferson County Court on sealed indictments alleging they had and sold cocaine.

Each pleaded not guilty to all charges and was ordered held on varying bail amounts by Judge Kim H. Martusewicz.

Arraigned were:

Michael W. Reid,46, of 172 Academy St., who faces three counts each of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, as well as a single count of first-degree criminal nuisance.

It is alleged that he sold cocaine twice in March and once in April in Watertown. It is further alleged that allowed his residence to be used as place for people to gather for the purpose of selling drugs. He was jailed on $10,000 bail.

Amber N. Heath,23, of 1620 Huntington St., Apt. G2, is charged with two counts each of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. It is alleged that she sold cocaine on two occasions in March in Watertown. She was held on $10,000 bail.

Keevin D. Hyde,30, of 26814 Libby Lane, Evans Mills, faces two counts each of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He is accused of selling cocaine on two occasions in Jefferson County. He was jailed on $10,000 bail.

Kimberly A. Norris,43, of 512 Binsse St., is charged with two counts each of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. It is alleged that she sold cocaine twice in Jefferson County. She was held on $10,000 bail.

Michael J. Purvis Jr.,21, of 323 Sterling St., Apt. 5, is charged with single counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. It is alleged that he sold cocaine in Watertown in October. His bail was set at $10,000.

Hector G. Comacho,29, of 309 Mill St., Apt. 502, faces two counts each of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He is accused of selling cocaine on two occasions in March in Watertown. He was held on $2,500 bail.

The arrests of each came Tuesday and Wednesday during a roundup of outstanding indictments made by the Metro-Jefferson Drug Task Force, state police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, state police violent felony crimes warrant squad, state Division of Parole, Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, Watertown police and Fort Drum Criminal Investigation Division.

The roundup also included Kelechi Kwubiri, 29, Bronx, who was arraigned Wednesday on three counts each of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and was jailed on $30,000 bail.
