Two north country motorists charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated

The following are charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

■ Thomas E. Wiley, 35, of 22499 Colonial Manor Drive, Apt. 2, was arrested by state police at 2:20 a.m. Thursday on a charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated on Route 342 in the town of LeRay.

His breath test result was listed at 0.24 percent blood alcohol content. A BAC level of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more.

He was released on $750 bail following arraignment before LeRay Town Justice George E. Mead III.

■ Shawn M. McClure, 26, Hannawa Falls, was charged by Potsdam village police Thursday on Pierrepont Avenue. He was ticketed with using a cell phone while driving and aggravated DWI. His BAC was 0.22 percent, police said.
