Association selling 'Dining Out' cards

The Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired of Jefferson County once again is selling "Dining Out" cards to raise money to provide services to north country people who are blind or otherwise visually impaired.

For a $30 donation, a Dining Out cardholder is entitled to special discount dinners at 18 participating restaurants. Cardholders choose two dinner entrees, pay for one at regular price and receive a second at a discounted price or for free. Cards expire Nov. 30.

Dining Out cards are available at the association's office, 321 Prospect St., Watertown, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays; Hannaford Supermarket and Kinney Drugs locations in Watertown, Adams, Carthage and Clayton.

Participating restaurants: Adams Country Club, Café Mira, Lucia's and Hotel Adams Steak & Brew, all in the Adams area; Herrings Historical Inn; Sahara, Carthage; Spencer's Restaurant, Chaumont; First National Beef & Brew, Ramada, and Johnny D's and Cavallario's Cucina, all in Watertown; Clipper Inn, O'Brien's, Sand Bay Inn and The Pier House, all in Clayton; Aubrey's Inn and Market Street Inn, Cape Vincent, and Uncle Sam Boat Tours dinner cruise at Alexandria Bay.
