CLAYTON — Mrs. Philena M. Dwyer age 86 of Strawberry Lane died Friday afternoon at the Samaritan Keep Home in Watertown.

The Funeral will be 2:00 pm Monday at the T.R. Jetty Funeral Home in Clayton. Calling hours will be from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm on Monday, burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery.

She was born November 18th 1922 in the Town of Orleans the daughter of Arthur and Mary Havens Dwyer. She Graduated from Clayton High School. She married Horace Dwyer February 26th 1941, at the Depauville Methodist Parsonage with Reverend Lewis Wright Pastor officiating. Mr. Dwyer died March 18th 2000. Philena worked for a time at the Thousand Islands High School and assisted her husband in the operation of their farm. She was active in the Girl Scouts, and the Bowling League. She enjoyed playing cards, camping, ice fishing, crossword puzzles and watching game shows.

Surviving is one son and his wife Gary and Kathy of Cape Vincent, Three daughters and their husbands, Elaine and Paul Mason of Cape Vincent, Linda and Sterling LaLonde of Clayton and Yvonne and James Pike of Cape Vincent, 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, one sister Viva Fraser of Watertown and one brother and his wife Kenneth and Ilda Dwyer of Theresa, nieces and nephews.

Donations can be made in her name to the Clayton Fire Department, or St. Lawrence Cemetery Association in care of Sheila Hasner 380 South James Street Cape Vincent NY 13618.
