Man admits drunken driving in Jefferson County Court

A man admitted to driving drunk during a December accident on Friday in Jefferson County Court.

Stewart R. Paul,54, of 26377 Smith Road, Dexter, pleaded guilty to felony driving while intoxicated and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Sentencing was set for Aug. 12.

He admitted he was driving drunk Dec. 4 on Coffeen Street when his vehicle hit another car driven by a Watertown man. At the time of the accident, his license had been suspended for a July 9 DWI conviction in City Court.
