Dennis J. Martin

NORFOLK — Funeral services for Dennis James Martin, 48, of County Route 36, Norfolk, will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church in Louisville with Rev. Bernard Menard presiding.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Phillips Memorial Home in Massena. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Norfolk.

Mr. Martin passed away at his home on June 21, 2009.

Dennis is survived by his parents, Richard M. and Sally M. Martin of Louisville; his children, Teri Jo Martin of Massena, and Amy Degagne of Massena; brothers and sister Terry and wife Vicki Martin of Louisville, Timothy and Chrissy Martin of Waddington, Donna Martin and Brian Woods of Louisville, Matthew Martin and Cathy Smith of Louisville; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Lyle Martin, in 1976.

He was born on Jan. 16, 1961 in Massena, the son of Richard M. and Sally (White) Martin. He was employed as a scuba diver/carpenter for J.W. Dive Service.

Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, diving. He enjoyed cook outs and barbecue and spending time with his family. He loved all of what Mother Nature had to offer.
